    Export tags and links

Create a set of data containing tags and links to files and folders.

  • Export can be used for saving your Tags and the links to your files and folders. This is combined in a set of data that can be used for backup and transfer. The export can be done for all Tag Groups, a specific Tag Group or a specific Tag. This can be directly done in the Windows File Explorer.

The export results in one file containing the set of data (the tags and the links to files and folders). This file can be used for backup and transfer scenario’s as already mentioned. Note that the file does not contain the actual Files and Folders, only the links to them.

In case of the backup scenario you probably want to use the export on a regular basis. To help you with this it’s possible to create a batch file which can be used by the Windows Task Scheduler. Within the batch file it is specified what is exported and where the resulting file will be stored.

If you want more information about exporting your Tags you can watch some video’s. If you want to know what you can do with the file containing the set of data (the tags and the links to files and folders) watch the video’s about import.
